For an annual fee of $495, the Citi Prestige® is a premium credit card that gives you complimentary fourth nights at hotels, a $250 annual travel credit, earns 5 points per dollar spent on air travel and restaurants.
Benefits and perks
The following are the travel benefits offered by the Prestige® card:
- $250 travel credit each calendar year.
- Credit for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck.
- Complimentary access to airport lounges through Priority Pass Select.
- Fourth night free for hotel stays, limited to twice a year.
Citi will credit your account for travel-related purchases up to $250 each calendar year. The travel category includes airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, travel agencies, travel aggregators, tour operators, commuter transportation, ferries, commuter railways, subways, taxis, limousines, car services, passenger railways, cruise lines, bridge and road tolls, parking garages, and bus lines.
Fourth-night free benefit
The fourth-night free benefit is what makes the Citi Prestige® card stand out from others because it can save you hundreds and even thousands of dollars. However, it’s limited to twice each calendar year.
There are no black-out dates and the hotel must be booked through thankyou.com or by phone at 1-800-THANKYOU.
The downside to the fourth-night free benefit is that you won’t get hotel elite status benefits, credit toward status or earn hotel loyalty points.
This is because hotels view the booking as one from an online travel agency and hotels usually don’t provide benefits for these bookings.
