John Wooden (October 14, 1910 – June 4, 2010) was the head coach of the UCLA Bruins basketball team from 1948 to 1975.

As the UCLA Bruins head coach, he was famous for winning ten National Collegiate Athletic Association national championships in 12 years, including a record of seven in a row.
